However, many people may still not understand how the process works and what the exact benefits of this system are. We want to address the basics of the fluid-applied roof coating system and what it does, how it can help you, and what the benefits are from having one installed.

Before we look at the fluid roof coating process, we want you to understand why we are stand so proudly beside it. There are many different types of roof coatings available today, but the silicone fluid roof coating is widely referred to as the “Cadillac” of them all, and it’s our personal favorite. It is typically the most expensive option when looking at the overall cost, but there is actually a good reason for this increased cost. After years of research and development, silicone has become a strong, UV resistant, moisture curing, non-chalking, environmentally friendly product.

At the end of the warranty period, it will be a great time to let WPS do this again at a fraction of the original cost. Do we have to tear off the old roof to remove the old coating? Nope. Do we have to remove the old fluid membrane and re-apply it all over again? Nope. At the end of the coating’s life, we would simply re-apply a new coating onto the roof’s surface directly onto the previous layer of coating. It is as simple as having us come back and do it the same way it was done before. We would power wash the surface again, but no primer will be required the next time. Once the second layer is applied, your roof is under warranty again for 10, 15 or 20 more years depending on the warranty period you are seeking.
